The
primary way for parents of prospective students to receive information
about Worcester Preparatory School is to schedule an admissions
appointment. This visit to the school will provide an opportunity
to tour the campus and facilities, see classes in session, and
learn about the school's philosophy and educational program.
For
general information about Worcester Preparatory School, the scheduling
of appointments and further information on application procedures,
please contact the Director of Admissions, Lisa Cook, at 410-641-3575.
Parents
are encouraged to make application for their children early in
the school year preceding the year of matriculation. All applicants
are required to complete entrance tests/screenings. Admissions
screenings (Preschool & Kindergarten) and testings (Grades
1-11) are scheduled for applicants early in February.
Acceptance
to Worcester Preparatory School is based upon the evaluation of
the student's entrance test/screening, academic transcript (Grades
1-11), overall school record, and available space. Once the admissions
file is complete and evaluated by the Admissions committee, if
the student is accepted, parents are sent a written offer of admission
for their child. If space is not available and the Admissions
Committee feels the student would do well at Worcester, the student's
name is placed on the wait list.
Worcester
Preparatory School is committed in its consideration and acceptance
of students and in its hiring of staff, to the principles of non-discrimination
on the basis of race, color, sex, creed, and/or national origin.
