Admissions Process
•  The primary way for parents of prospective students to receive information about Worcester Preparatory School is to schedule an admissions appointment. This visit to the school will provide an opportunity to tour the campus and facilities, see classes in session, and learn about the school’s philosophy and educational program. To schedule the appointment, please contact Tara Becker, Director of Admissions at 410-641-3575.

•  A completed application and transcript release form should be submitted to WPS along with the $50 application fee. An application and transcript release form may be obtained by contacting the school or downloading the forms below.

•  Acceptance to Worcester Preparatory School is based upon the evaluation of the student’s entrance test/screening, academic transcript (Grades 1-11), overall school record, and available space. Once the admissions file is complete and evaluated by the Admissions committee, parents of accepted students will receive an offer of admission for their child. If space is not available and the Admissions Committee feels the student would do well at Worcester, the student’s name is placed on the wait list. Admissions decisions are typically made by mid-April.

•  A student applying to Grades 6 through 11 may “shadow” another student once an application has been submitted. Although this is not required, it may be helpful for a student to experience a typical school day at WPS. Just call the Director of Admissions and set up a “shadow” date.

For general information about Worcester Preparatory School, the scheduling of appointments and further information on application procedures, please contact the Director of Admissions at 410-641-3575.
