Mrs. Debora Speier spends her days immersed in French lessons, a subject near and dear to her heart. She started learning French as a third-grader in Montgomery County Public Schools. After graduating with honors in both majors in 1978, Mrs. Speier worked for 11 years in the transportation industry.
When her daughter was born, she elected to stay at home until returning to work as a teacher at WPS. Mrs. Speier spent two years substituting at WPS, and volunteering as a parent. She is a Director for the Berlin Heritage Foundation, writing its newsletter and giving tours of the Calvin B. Taylor House.
