Berlin, MD – On November 11, Worcester Prep’s Lower School came together in a musical performance to celebrate veterans.
The Veterans Day Program, directed by WPS Lower School Music Teacher, Mrs. Joanie Brittingham, began with the Presentation of Colors led by guests from the American Legion. This year’s guest speakers were WPS lower school parents, Marine Major Rebecca Hagner and Marine Captain David Hagner; WPS alumni, Cadet 3rd Class Ava Wilsey and Midshipman Third Class Dylan Simons; and WPS teacher and Coast Guard spouse, Kim Jankowski. Throughout the program, the Musical Mallards performed the “Star Spangled Banner”, “A Grateful Nation,” and “For the Good of the Many.” Students in attendance were able to invite family members and friends who have served, or are currently serving, in the military and enjoyed a visit with them following the performance.
