WPS LAX Goalie Achieves 300 Saves by Sophomore Year

Berlin, MD – Only one month later Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) Varsity Girls Lacrosse Goalie Caitlin Williams (’24) announces her 300th career save, after achieving her 200th just a few weeks ago in early April.  
 
Earlier this season, sophomore goalie Caitlin Williams recorded her 200th career save, and only ten games later she eclipsed the 300th save mark for her career. In the ESIAC Championship Game, Caitlin had another recorded breaking performance where she made 17 saves, which gave her 173 for the season setting a new WPS record.
 
Caitlin Williams has been playing lacrosse for 10 years. This is her second year on the WPS Girls Varsity Lacrosse team as a starting goalie. This year she was voted a team captain as a sophomore. During Caitlin’s freshman season, she recorded 129 saves, with a 56% Save Percentage. Caitlin is a Multi-Sport Athlete at Worcester Prep where she plays Varsity Field Hockey, Varsity Soccer and Varsity Basketball. This summer, she will play in the prestigious Under Armour 150 for the second year in a row. This recruiting event showcases the top 150 players in the country.
