Worth the Ride

Worcester Prep attracts students from a three-state area.  Bus service to and from school, including buses that take students home following sports practices and other activities, is available in select communities in Maryland and Delaware.

Bus service comes with an unexpected benefit; many students describe the "the bus life" as a highlight of attending Worcester Prep.  The ride to and from school not only gives them an opportunity to complete homework or catch a nap, but also allows them to socialize with friends and to meet other students of all ages.

According to student Lynden Prosser '26. "Worcester Prep is worth the hour bus ride.  Even if you do have to get up early."
"At first, I couldn't imagine putting my four-year-old son on a bus for a two-hour round trip every day," said parent Katherine Johnson McAllister '00.  "That first day, I followed the bus to school.  When I saw the teachers waiting to greet my child the second he stepped off the bus giggling with the new friends he'd made on the ride, I knew it was going to be okay."
