Young children learn best through play. Through a Pre-K curriculum that honors the age of its students, Worcester Prep creates meaningful, intentional play activities that incorporate introductory academics without lessening little learners’ carefree enjoyment.
In Kindergarten, academic rigor is thoughtfully introduced through focused instruction in foundational English Language Arts and Math skills. Students engage in activities that develop phonemic awareness, decoding, number sense, and early problem-solving. The curriculum is designed to challenge young learners while nurturing their confidence and excitement for learning.
Pre-K and Kindergarten programs also introduce critical social skills. Students develop rich language skills, learning how to use not only words, but also tone and body language to communicate effectively with their friends and with adults. Young children learn essential learning skills and how to work together as part of a group.
It’s never too early to begin developing the habits, skills, and mindset necessary for success in later years. At Worcester Prep, Pre-K students and Kindergarteners develop curiosity, build confidence, and internalize lessons that will benefit them for a lifetime.
