WPS Lower School Meet Santa to Give Gifts for Diakonia
Berlin, MD – On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Worcester Preparatory School’s (WPS) Lower School eagerly lined up to visit with Santa and give gifts to those in need at Diakonia.
Each Lower School student (Pre-K through Grade 5) arrived in the dining hall with a wrapped gift, or several, and handed them personally to Santa for a donation to Diakonia. Hundreds of gifts were donated to Diakonia’s homeless shelters in West Ocean City, Maryland that provide emergency and transitional housing, food services and counseling for their guests.
Diakonia Executive Director Bee Miller explained, this holiday season the organization is assisting 80 families in helping them provide gifts for their children. Thank you to our Lower School students and families, and the staff and volunteers at Diakonia for all their hard work and support.
