7th Grader Chase Thompson Presents SPCA Donation

Berlin, MD – WPS middle school student Chase Thompson presents a check to the SPCA for over $900, a result of the fundraiser he spearheaded through his “Head of School for a Day” experience.

Worcester Prep 7th grader, Chase Thompson of Rehoboth Beach, DE., acted as Head of School on Friday, October 14, 2022. His parents purchased “Head of School for a Day” during the annual WPS Gala fundraiser auction this past April.

As Head of School, Chase asked his fellow WPS students for donations to the local SPCA. During the day, he attended leadership meetings, visited classrooms, and conducted security and athletic field checks. His fellow 7th graders were treated to donuts for breakfast and pizza and ice cream for lunch. Faculty and staff also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and students were treated to additional recess time throughout the day.
