4th Grader Serena Jaoude WPS Head of School for a Day

Berlin, MD – Worcester Prep 4^th grader, Serena Jaoude of Lewes, Delaware, acted as Head of School on May 24. “Head of School for a Day” was a live auction item at the annual WPS this past March.

As Head of School, Serena offered a casual dress day for all students, teachers and administration in exchange for a $2 donation to her favorite charity. In doing so, she raised more than $1000 for Humane Animal Partners located in Rehoboth, DE. Her busy schedule was filled with leadership meetings, visiting classrooms, touring campus, and security and athletic field checks. She also enjoyed lunch with a small group of friends in her new office. Her fellow 4^th graders were treated to donuts for breakfast and ice cream at lunch. Faculty also enjoyed a complimentary breakfast and students were treated to additional recess throughout the day.
