Berlin, MD – On November 11, Worcester Preparatory School’s (WPS) 4th and 5th grades came together in a musical performance to celebrate veterans.
The Veterans Day Program, directed by WPS Lower School Music Teacher, Mrs. Joanie Brittingham, began with the Presentation of Colors led by guests from the American Legion. This year’s guest speakers were WPS lower school art teacher Mrs. Cathy Roman’s father, Colonel Daniel Wells; WPS alum, Cadet 3rd class Ava Wilsey; and WPS parent, Marine Major Rebecca Hagner. Throughout the program, the Musical Mallards performed the “Star Spangled Banner”, “America the Beautiful” and “God Bless America.” Students in attendance were able to invite family members and friends who have served, or are currently serving, in the military and enjoyed a visit with them following the performance.
