Lower School Receives Optimist Club Visual Arts Awards
Berlin, MD – Congratulations to Worcester Prep’s Lower School student award winners of this year’s Ocean City-Berlin Optimist Club Visual Arts Contest.
WPS 2nd grader Nicole Sebastian won 1st place in the “Up to Age 7” category, and 5th grader Tobi Blaska won 1st place in the “Age 8 to 11” category. They each received $100 and will be entered into the Optimist International Visual Arts Contest.
WPS students dominated the contest, as 2nd grader Elsie Booth received 2nd place and Caroline McCready received 3rd, while kindergartners Laine Booth and 1st grader Milana Christensen both received Honorable Mentions in the “Up to Age 7” category. WPS 5th grader Aaralyn Lillquist received 2nd place, and 4th grader Hannah Giardina received 3rd in the “Age 8 to 11” category, with 3rd grader Lilly McClure and 4th graders Adee Carmean and Emery Anthony receiving Honorable Mentions. All award winners received monetary prizes.
