Elks Essay Contest WPS Middle School Winners

Berlin, MD –Worcester Preparatory School’s (WPS) Ocean City Elks Lodge #2645 essay contest winners were recently recognized.
 
This year’s Elks National Great Americanism essay contest theme was “What the Bill of Rights Means to Me”. Each student submitted an essay of close to 300 words.
 
Congratulations to WPS students Lea Jaoude for achieving 1st place, Ronit Poddar who earned 2nd, and Vivi Grinestaff for receiving 3rd in the 6th Grade division.  In the Grade 7 division, Kristie Carr won 1st place, Elle Wilsey received 2nd and Madison Andrews received 3rd. In the 8th Grade division, Hayden Wagner won 1st place, Ellie Phillips received 2nd and Elena Gjoni received 3rd. Lea Jaoude, Kristie Carr and Hayden Wagner will advance to the district level.
