WPS Pre-K Wedding Announcement of Q & U

Berlin, MD – Mrs. Kim Zaccagnini and Mrs. Courtney DeVito’s Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) Pre-Kindergarten students proudly announce the wedding of Q and U on Friday, June 5.

The event was held outside on school grounds, where the Head of School, Dr. Betsy Hornung, and Head of Lower School, Mrs. Abby Harrison, officiated the ceremony. Entertainment was provided by Mrs. Angie Bunting and Mrs. Cheryl Marshall’s 1st-grade wedding band. A casual reception immediately followed in the Guerrieri Library Lecture Hall.

The wedding of Q & U is a beloved interactive grammar lesson, teaching young students that while Q and U often go hand-in-hand to form words like quilt, quarrel, and quack, U can also stand independently in words like umbrella and unity. Through music, play, and celebration, the students build a memorable foundation for literacy and phonics.
