Berlin, MD – On Friday, September 17, 2021 Pre-K students at Worcester Preparatory School conducted a fun science experiment to find out if a coconut sinks or floats. The students learned coconuts are mostly hollow inside, and that the buoyancy allows the coconut to float!
Dylan Brandt helps add water to help prepare for the experiment.
Harper Hailey helps Pre-K teacher Kim Zaccagnini pour more water into the bin.
Parker Moreland drops the coconut in the water to see if it sinks or floats.
Harper Hailey, Anna Harrison and classmates watch eagerly to see if the coconut will float.
All Pre-K students gather around to see the floating coconut!
