WPS Students Ring in the Season with Holiday Performance
Berlin, MD – Families and students from the Lower School, Pre-K through Grade 5, kicked off the holiday season with a cherished tradition at Worcester Preparatory School (WPS): the Annual Lower School Holiday Program.
On Friday, December 12, Lower School Music Director Joanie Brittingham debuted the show Christmas on the Air, a spectacular performance filled with holiday songs and dances. Mrs. Brittingham wrote, directed, and choreographed the show, which featured more than 200 students singing and dancing. By the end of the performance, it was evident that every student was a star.
Founded in 1970, Worcester Preparatory School is a private, independent school serving students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 and is located in Berlin, Maryland. Continuing a beloved tradition, first-grade students portrayed Angels and performed Sing We Now of Christmas during the Annual Lower School Holiday Program. Third-grade dancers Callie McCabe (Laurel, DE), Milana Prosekova (Selbyville, DE), Rosie Lane (Ocean City, MD), and Esme Johnston (Lewes, DE) performed an energetic dance to Eight Days of Hanukkah as part of the Lower School holiday celebration.
WPS 5th graders Finley Hanna (Bishopville, MD) and Gracie Hornung (Newark, MD) opened this year’s Lower School Holiday Program with a lively rendition of It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year from Christmas on the Air.
