WPS Athlete Commits to Mary Washington Men’s Lacrosse

Berlin, MD – Worcester Preparatory School (WPS) junior student-athlete Gavin Sutherland of Lewes, Delaware, has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He plans to pursue a degree in Business.

A member of the Class of 2027, Gavin is a dedicated student and athlete who has made a strong impact at Worcester Prep. He is an active member of the Military History Club and serves as a standout goalie for the varsity lacrosse team. Known for his focus, quick reflexes, and strong field awareness, Gavin has been a key contributor to the Mallards’ success on and off the field.

Outside of school, Gavin continues to develop his skills through competitive play with the Brotherly Love travel lacrosse program, where he competes against high-level talent and gains valuable experience.

Gavin is the son of Christine and Dale Sutherland.
